Pipe sizing die

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve a cooling effect and also to obtain a pipe with nice surface appearance by forming a spiral channel on the rear inside wall of a pipe sizing die and pouring water into the spiral space. CONSTITUTION:There is formed a vacuum zone 21 for close adherence of the outside wall of a pipe 4 to the inside wall of the pipe sizing die 2 on the front of the pipe sizing die 2. Then a spiral chnnel 27 is formed on the rear inside wall. When the pipe is formed, a thin layer of water on outside wall of the pipe is disturbed by pouring water forcedly through a feed pipe 5 into a spiral space 28 formed with the channel 27 and the pipe outside wall. A cooling effect can thus be improved.
