Fuel controller for internal combustion engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To stop a correction of the fuel controller from a cooling water temperature at the time of failure, with the failure of water temperature sensor discovered, by making a comparison between a detected output of the engine temperature other than the water temperature sensor and an output of the water temperature sensor. CONSTITUTION: In a case when the output of a water temperature sensor 7 shows a state of low temperature despite that the output of a sensor 8, for directly or indirectly detecting a temperature of the engine, such as, for instance, a temperature of catalyzer, exhaust gas or lubricating oil, etc., other than the engine cooling water temperature sensor 7, shows a state of high temperature of the engine, the output signal through comparators 10, 20 operates an AND circuit 12. A switching signal S 2 actuates a switching circuit 13 to switch the contact from A to B. To the contact B, for instance, is being applied an output voltage V 0 of the normal water temperature sensor 7 at a cooling water temperature of 80°C, therefore, the constant voltage V 0 , corresponding to the normal output, is applied to an arithmetic unit 1, thus a fuel control function can be prevented from being lowered after a completion of warm-up operation of the engine.
