Pulse generating circuit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To perform effecient pulse driving with a small magnetizing current by varying the time length of the OFF period with the ratio between the ON period and OFF period being kept constant. CONSTITUTION: The primary winding N 1 and the secondary winding N 2 of a current transformer T 2 are connected to a control switch Q 2 ' and GTO Q 1 ', respectively. A series circuit of a diode D and a short-circuit switch Q 3 is connected to a tertiary winding N 3 so that the tertiary winding N 3 is shorted for a specified period only against a counter emf generated after turning OFF the switch Q 2 '. In this constitution, the OFF period of the switching element can be varied without fluactution of the exciting current, thereby efficient pulse driving can be performed.
