Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve the positioning accuracy between the sheet paper held in the cassette and the image through a direct positioning of a side plate restricting both sides of the sheet paper with the body of a copying machine. CONSTITUTION: Side plates which are provided as a positioning member to restrict both sides of sheet paper inside the box-shaped body 1 to match the size thereof is clamped with a bottom plate member 9, which is mounted to the body 1. Two dowels 10 1 and 10 2 are provided on the bottom plate member 9 projecting out through the bottom of the body. The dowels are engaged with a guide member on a cassette carrier 6 for positioning the cassette when it is loaded into the carrier on the body side of the copying machine 13. With such arrangement, higher accuracy of positioning is possible by a direct positioning of the side plates 11 and 12 with the body of the copying machine through the dowels 10 1 and 10 2 .
