Color television picture receiver

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To realize the picture reception for each TV broadcast of the TV system by detecting the vertical scanning frequency of the received TV signal and then securing an automatic switching for each circuit within the picture receiver. CONSTITUTION: Each received TV signal is converted into the IF signal featuring the same aural carrier frequency of 3.4MHz, and then the IF signal is led to VIF amplifier/detector circuit 2 featuring a single wide band (5.5MHz). The frequency (vertical frequency) of the vertical synchronous signal, which is led out in separation from the VIF detection output of circuit 2 via synchronous isolator circuit 13, is detected by detector circuit 15. With this detection output, switch circuit 17 is operated to switch AFT circuit 3, SIF circuit 4, video amplifier circuit 6, PAL color signal circuit 8 and vertical deflecting circuit 14 respectively.
