Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To carry out the automatic adjustment of white balance by extracting arbitrary specific position of the television image surface as the marker and carrying out the gain adjustment of other signals as reference of the arbitrary signal of the portion of the marker. CONSTITUTION: The gate pulse synchronizing with the image signal is generated in the gate pulse generating circuit 11, outputted to the gate circuits 7∼9 to determine the arbitrary position of the image surface. The gate circuits 7∼9 receives the gate pulse and outputs B, G, R signals of the specific portion of the image surface as the marker to the level difference detection and control circuit 10. As reference to the arbitrary signals B, G, R, the gain adjusting signal for adjusting the gain of two signals is formed in the circuit 10 to output to the gain adjusting circuit 1∼3. In the circuit 1∼3, B, G, R signals are adjusted in gain so as to reach the same level of B, G, R signal. Accordingly, the B, G, R signal inputting to the matrix 4 is situated at the same level and the output thereof is no signal, so that it can be made white or grey. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
