Method of recording radiation image
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To record a radiation image by storage and quickly reproduce the image at an optimal density on the basis of stored information, by detecting the instantaneous luminescence of a stored fluorescent substance when radiation is applied thereto. CONSTITUTION: X-rays emitted from an X-ray source 10 penetrate a human body 11 and then enter into a storing fluorescent plate 12. At that time, a penetration image is recorded on the plate 12. and the instantaneous luminescence of the plate 12 is detected by light detctors 13aW13n provided behind the plate. The maximum and minimum values of brilliance of the image are discriminated at 15 among the outputs of the detectors and automatically converted at 16 into those of stored quantity of energy, which are memorized at 17. To read information recorded on the fluorescent plate 12, the information is photoelectrically changed at 21 by laser light scanning. The changed information is converted at 24 into a signal corresponding to the memorized information to control the quantity of light from a light source 23 to record an image at an appropriate density on a film 22.
