Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To observe the combustion state in the engine simply by incorporating an observing unit at the ignition play. CONSTITUTION:The heat-resisting glass window 8a for observation, located opposite to the spark gap 7 between the center electrode 3 and the side electrode 4, is provided to the ignition plug 1, the optical fiber 10a and the magnifying lens mechanism 10b are connected to the window 8a. An image of process from ignition to flame propagation is properly magnified and transferred to the magnifying lens mechanism by the observing unit 10 to photograph itself by a highspeed camera.
