Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a facsimile receiving unit having two functions by adding a wire printer function to the facsimile receiving unit. CONSTITUTION: Fascimile signals transmitted through a telephone line are received by demodulation part 1 and are converted to picture signals and are stored in memory 2. Plural memories 2 are provided for performing simultaneously operations of read of the memory, where picture signals are stored, and recording. Picture signals of memory 2 are read out serially by prescribed clocks controlled by frequency oscillation control part 4 and are sampled in sampling circuit 5 by sample clocks controlled by the control part and are converted to bit series picture signals of period f 2 corresponding to number M of wires of a printer by series-parallel conversion, and after that, these signals are sent to print head driving circuit 6 through printer fascimile switch part 5. Circuit 6 drives print head 7 at the timing of f 2 with a prescribed pulse width according to M-but picture signals, and head 7 runs on a recording paper rectangularly so that it may be synchronized correspondingly to the bit interval of the main scanning direction, thus performing recording.
