Cassette adaptor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To make it possible to adapt the same tape to either small or large magnetic tape unit by arranging two reels in a case at a fixed interval wider than that between both reel axis centers when two reel members are combined. CONSTITUTION: A small tape cassette with left cell 8 and right cell 9 combined together is inserted into case 17 through opening 18. Next, when driving member 24 is moved as shown by arrow B by pushing operation lever 23 in, right cell 9 is moved as shown by arrow B by lock pin 22. At this time, the axis-center distance between both cells 8 and 9 is set to reel axis-center distance (l 2 ) of a large magnetic tape unit. On the other hand, movement of driving member 24 shown by arrow B turn tape tension arms 30 and 33 counterclockwise and clockwise and tip tension pins 32 and 35 put tape 3 at opening 20 of case 17.
