Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To avoid waving on screen of television receiver at slow reproduction, by inserting the equivalent vertical synchronizing signal before the vertical synchronizing signal of normal video signal. CONSTITUTION: For example, when the tracks 8, 9 recorded on 1, 2ch of the rotary head are at 1/2 flow reproduction, the head of 1, 2ch alternately and sequentially tracks on q-i, h-j, i-k, j-l. In this case, the distance between the start point 7 of the video signal and the selection pulse position 6 is α+αH/2, α-αH, α-αH/ 2 (αH is the number of track shift.) by taking the track as α. The selection pulse at the position 6 of selection pulse and the control pulse on the magnetic tape produce the equivalent vertical pulse signal having four phases to the selection pulse delayed in αH/4 unit for the selection pulse, and this pulse is inserted to immediatly be fore the video signal obtained with the said track.
