Connecting device of air cleaner with carburetor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To eliminate leak from a device connecting an air cleaner with a carburetor, by forcibly inserting a member in the connector to make the connection airtight. CONSTITUTION: An annular groove 21 is formed on the external surface of a connector 100 made of an elastic hollow cylinder, and the opening of an air cleaner case 20 is inserted in the groove 21. Then a hollow cylindrical member 120 with on outer diameter a bit larger than the inner diameter of the connector 100 is forcibly inserted to keep airtight the clearance between the case 20 and the groove 21. The main air intake 31 of a carburetor 30 is inserted from the other end of the connecting member 100 and fixed with a band 41. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
