Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To simplify and miniaturize the structure by providing an opening part through which a capstan is put in or taken out to a different place from a front part where a tape drawer opening part is provided. CONSTITUTION: Front opening part 6 which exposes tape 4 to enable magnetic tape 4 extending from supply reel 2 to take up reel 3 to be taken out is formed on the front of cassette shell body 1; and side opening part 9 which makes it possible to insert upward capstan 7 for tape constant-speed driving and which enables pinch roller 8 to meet and separate from capstan 7 via magnetic tape 4 are both provided to the flank part of cassette shell body 1, i.e., part of flank wall 1c near take-up reel 3.
