Method of wear detection for recording stylus

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the durability of detecting head at a position a fixed distance from the recording body in the neighborhood of contact between the recording stylus, which is used for a discharge break recording means, and the recording body. CONSTITUTION:The roller detecting head 7 is attached to the end of bar, which is fixed to the support 6 of the recording stylus 3, at a fixed distance from the surface of recording paper 2 in the neighborhood of contact of the recording stylus. The stylus is always contacted with the recording paper under pressure of 10-30g by pressing the support of stylus with a spring 8. When the recording stylus is worn, the detecting head 7 contacts with the surface of recording paper, the detecting unit 9 senses it.
