Method of and apparatus for producing synthetic resin mold
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To provide a corrugated mold excellent in the dimensional accuracy and the appearance without preheating a gripper by vacuum molding of a synthetic resin sheet with the all sides gripped after heating thereof placed on a preheated molding die. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic resin sheet D is placed on a preheated molding die 2 and a gripper 3 alone on the shorter sides are operated to grip the shorter sides thereof. Then, under such a condition, a motor of a molding table device is driven to move the table device into a heater B where it is heated up to a temperature suitable for the molding. After ample heating of the sheet D, the molding table device is withdrawn from the heater B. A gripper 3 on the remaining sides, namely, longer sides is operated to grip the longer sides. Then, a valve of a suction tube connected to a vacuum pump is opened to have the vacuum working thereby an air in the hollow of the mold die is sucked out. In addition, a suction pressure is caused at the suction hole of the corrugated surface 21 to shape the synthetic resin sheet D. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
