Connecting device between electronic computer and facsimile circuit
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To secure the connection of the facsimile (FAX) circuit to the channel of the electronic computer via the signal converter. CONSTITUTION: The character information delivered from electronic computer 4 via input/output channel 5 is applied to character pattern converter 12 via input/output buffer 11 of connecting device 1. Converter 12 converts the character information into the character pattern, i.e., the picture information through pattern generator 13. Compressor 14 gives the band compression to the character pattern to secure the coincidence with the transmission sequence of the FAX, and then transmits the pattern to circuit 2 connected to FAX device 3 via compression data buffer 16, modulator/demodulator 17 and network control unit 18 each. The information given from device 3 is given to buffer 11 from buffer 16 via expander 15. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
