Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the light scanning device which is capable of scanning without causing jitter phenomena by detecting the intensity change of 0 order light at the hologram reproducing and obtaining the synchronizing signal at the start of scanning. CONSTITUTION: A photo detector 5 is beforehand disposed in the 0 order light 4 transmitted through a hologram 3 and when a disc 1 is rotated, the output signal from the photo detector 5 becomes like a. The fall of the pulse signal emitted between the hologram and hologram becomes the point of scanning start by the hologram. Thereupon, to detect the fall, the output from, e.g., the photo detector 5, is inputted to the trigger circuit of a monostable multivibrator, then the pulse of an arbitrary width may be generated at the fall of the signal. Hence, if the reading or writing of image signal is done based on this pulse, the occurrence of jitter phenomena may be prevented even if the holograms are not arrayed at an equal pitch.
