Preparation of polyolefin

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title polymer having improved particle properties, without requiring catalyst residue removal steps, by using a novel highly efficient catalyst comprising a specific silicone and a titanium compounds. CONSTITUTION: Olefins are polymerized in the presence of a catalyst comprising (A) a solid component obtained by simultaneous pulverization of (a) a magnesium halide and/or a manganese halide, with (b) an organic halogen compound, e.g. methylene chloride, (c) a chain or cyclic silicone compound of the formula (R' and R" are H or hydrocarbon groups) and (b) a tetra- and/or a trivalent titanium compounds, and (B) an organometallic; compound, e.g. triethylaluminum.
