Numerical control press machine provided with die operation detector
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent a punch from damage and mis-machinning and make a punch press to be high speed by always monitoring punch operation by means of a light system detector and causing the machine to judge availability to continue the next process. CONSTITUTION: Light emitters 6, 7, 8 and light receivers 10, 11, 12 in cases 5, 9 mounted on a frame 1 are positioned between the upper dead point and the lower dead point above a punch 13 to monitor operation of the punch. Necessary control signals of combination of signals from light receivers 10, 11, 12 and a limit switch 4 interlocked with a hammer 2 have been stored. The detector promptly catches normal operation of the punch 13 and the time point when the punch 13 removed after punch through from work material 22 and issues a command to the next process. It compares operation of the punch 13 with the sored control signals through monitoring the signals of light recivers 10, 11, 12 and commands availability for progressing to the next process, an emergency stop and the like.
