Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To provide an image of high brilliance and high resolution by controlling electron beams irradiated from the plural number of linear thermal cathode by means of the plural number of electron beam controlling electrode perpendicular to the former cathode. CONSTITUTION: General constitution is arranged in such a way that bulkheat electrode 21 of U character shape etc is provided for the purpose of mutually isloating theplural number of linear thermal cathode 20 from each other arranged to confront electrode 22 which induces electron beam output, and high instensity electron beams flow into penetration hole 22a provided on electrode 22. A series of penetration hole 22a correspond to each of linear cathode and have been punched in parallel to them. There have been distributed a plural number of recutangular control electrode 23 provided with penetration hole 23a which has been punched approximately normal to thermal cathode, keeping coaxial relationship with penetration hole 22a; and also distributed electrode 24 and 26 which form electron beams and include holes 24a, 26a punched in coaxial relationship to penetration hole 23a; electrode 26 and 26' make a pair to form an electrode for the purpose of vertical deflection and in the similar way, electrode 27, 27' form the horizontal deflection electrode. Thus, any image of high brilliance and high resolution may be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
