Pantethine homologue and its preparation
Abstract
Abstract NEW MATERIAL:A bis-(N-D-pantoyl-γ-aminobutyryl-2-aminoethyl) disulfide shown by the formula I. USE: Reagents, medicine, and a precursor of coenzyme A. Its chemical structure has a characteristic wherein γ-amino-n-butyric acid residue is substituted for β-alanine residue in pantethine and homo-pantothenyl group as a partial structure. PROCESS: For example, a novel bis-(γ-amino-n-butyl-2-aminoethyl)-disulfide shown by the formula II is condensed with D-pantolactone to give the desired compound shown by the formula I. For example, phtalyl-γ-amino-n-butyric acid (phthalyl- GABA) is reacted with cystamine so that amino group of cystamine is acylated by phthalyl-GABA reside and phthalyl group is removed to give the raw material compound shown by the formula II.
