Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reproduce a picture at a variable speed such as still, slow-motion and quick-motion pictures without a step out and picture flickering even if recording density is increased. CONSTITUTION: The 1st and 2nd reproducing rotary magnetic heads A1 and B1 with mutually-different azimuth angles (α a ) and (α b ) are fitted to cylinder 5 at an interval of 180°. Magnetic head A2 used for variable-speed reproduction has an azimuth angle equal to that of head A1, and magnetic head B2 used for variable- speed reproduction has an azimuth angle equal to that of head B1; the both are fitted leading head B1 and head A1 by angle θ. In variable-speed reproducing operation for still, slow and quick motions, a video signal is regenerated by a couple of heads A1 and A2 or heads B1 and B2. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
