Tone arm device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To minimize greatly both the horizontal tracking error and the horizontal resonance frequency by detecting the horizontal rotary displacement of the tone arm and then supplying the control current to the horizontal driving coil attached to the shaft of the tone arm. CONSTITUTION:Vertical driving coil 4 is provided at the end part of tone arm 1. And the fixed DC current is supplied to give the fixed pressure to the reproduction stylus of the pickup part, and the control current is supplied to give attenuation to the resonance frequency of arm 1 respectively. This control current is based on the detection signal produced from vertical displacement detector 14. At the same time, damping control coil 47 is attached to arm axle 2 to control the horizontal vibration of the arm, and the control current based on the detection signal of horizontal speed dedtctor 39 is supplied to coil 47 to attenuate the resonance vibration of the arm. As a result, the low-band vibration caused by the resonance vibration can be eliminated, thus enhancing the quality of the reproduced sound.
