Fixed quantity supplying method in tea leaves conveyor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To stably supply a fixed quantity of tea leaves to a steamer, by detecting the presence or absence of tea leaves in a hopper and controlling the speed of a downstream conveyor. CONSTITUTION: A measuring unit 8 receives the tea leaves from an upstream conveyor 14 and meansures a prescrived quantity of the tea leaves. The prescribed quantity of the tea leaves are then thrown into a hopper 2 at a time interval set by a timer 10. The moving speed of the downstream conveyor is set on the basis of such a level that the prescribed quantity of the tea leaves are thrown into the steamer at the time interval set by the timer 10. As soon as the measuring unit 8 starts throwing the tea leaves into the hopper 2, the presence or absence of the tea leaves in the hopper 2 is confirmed by a photoelectric tube 3. If even a small quantity of tea leaves remain in the hopper 2, the moving speed of the downstream conveyor is set high. If no tea leaves remain in the hopper 2, the speed of the downstream conveyor is set low. The conveyance speed of the tea leaves are thus controlled. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
