Selective collecting apparatus

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To provide a selective collecting apparatus, in which defective ones contained in continuously transported sheets are picked up by means of four threaded guide shafts, whereby it is enabled to remove or recover defective sheets without stopping operation of sheet transporting apparatus. CONSTITUTION: When defective sheets to be removed or recovered are picked up into the recovery space by means of chain pawls 52, motor 3 is set into operation to start turning of four guide shafts 1 simultaneously, whereby sheet 6 engaged at its opposite ends with threaded portions 11 of shafts 1 is raised upward gradually along with turning of the threaded shafts 1 while it is kept horizontal. When the sheet 6 is being raised upward along with turning of threads, its longitudinal position is determined by a guide plate 4. A plurality of such defective sheets 6 are collected in orderly manner in the upper space where straight portions 13 of four shafts 1 are located. With such an arrangement, only non-defective sheets can be transported continuously to packing station S at the downstream, while keeping uniform spacing of the sheets carried on conveyor.
