Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a motor by which a mechanical output such as linear motion can be taken by forming a structure consisting of a magnetized driving gear and an excited guide gear with an elliptical track. CONSTITUTION: The guide 3 with gear teeth 3a of equal pitches along a long elliptical path which is described by the driving shaft 1 connected to the load and the driving gear 2 which gears with the teeth 3a of guide 3 are provided. The teeth of driving gear 2 is magnetized so that polarity of both opposite sides of the bottom of teeth are the same, the teeth 3a of guide 3 are wrapped with coils 4 to make themselves electromagnets. The excitation of coils is controlled to move the driving gear 2 along the teeth 3a of guide 3. By this way, a motor suitable for opening and closing the door window of car can be obtained since the intermediate linking mechanism can be simplified or omitted to obtain a linear motion.
