Forming method for corrosion and oxidation resisting protective coat
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To form the corrosion and oxidation resisting protective coat endowed with excellent characteristic, by soldering the foil of Cr or Cr-alloy to the surface of high temperature parts, using the solder of the specified component. CONSTITUTION:The high temperature parts of the gas turbine, jet engine, etc., is manufactured from the super heat resisting alloy of Fe base, Ni base, or Cr base. On purpose to prevent this parts from the corrosion and oxidation due to the high temperature combustion gas, etc., the foil of Cr or Cr-alloy containing above 70%Cr is soldered onto the surface of the parts. Hereupon, on one side of the foil of thickness 15-300mum, a paste type solder is thin and uniformly applied; this paste type solder is prepared as follows; Cr powder of maximum 50wt% and yttrium hydride of 0.1-10 wt% are mixed with the powder type Ni solder of about 200mesh (Co solder for Co base heat resisting alloy), and moreover, the resin and the organic bonding agent are added to above mixture. Thus prepared foil is stuck on the high temperature parts, which is then heated and soldered within the 10-20m long N2 or Ar gas atmosphere; hereby, the protective coat excellent in the corrosion and oxidation resistance is formed.
