Dot printer using ink
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To control the supply of ink and obtain the excellent quality of printing by a method wherein an ink impregnating member and an ink feed member from an ink tank are selectively contacted or the ink impregnating member is selectively contacted with a wire. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnet 20 functions by printing starting signals to rotate a lever 18 in the clockwise direction, an ink feed member 14 and an ink impregnating member 12 are contacted, and ink 16 is supplied on a surface of a wire 2 through the impregnating member 12. Ink is moved to a tip of the wire by a capillary phenomenon from a clearance between the wire 2 and a wire guide 5, electromagnets 3 are excited by printing signals, printing paper is impacted by means of the wire 2, and dots are printed. After a printer prints, the wire 2 is returned to an original location by means of a return spring 10. When the printer waits for printing or when a new line is started and a printing head returns, the electromagnet 20 does not work, the lever 18 is rotated in the counterclockwise direction by means of a spring 21, and the feed member 14 parts from the impregnating member 12.
