Cable squeeze tester

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To realize the miniaturization of the squeeze tester and thus reduce the occupying space, by giving te reciprocal movement to the tester after applying the tension to the cable. CONSTITUTION: Cable stretcher 5 is driven, and reciprocal driving machine 13 is driven in the state under which the fixed tension is applied to cable 2. And the reciprocal motion is given to cable squeeze unit 7 by limit switches 15 and 16. Thus the squeeze is received by cable 2 which is hanged over squeeze rollers 10W12 in a mountain form, and the squeezing frequencies are counted by control counter 17. When the squeezing frequencies are counted by control counter 17. When the squeezing frequency reaches the set level, machine 13 and stretcher 5 are stopped automatically under the command of counter 17. Thus the cable shift becomes unnecessary to realize the miniaturization of the squeeze tester. Furthermore, the uniform test standard (squeezing angle and cable tension) is obtained, and then the squeezing conditions (squeezing velocity, stroke and squeezing angle) can be variable.
