Mold molding method and pattern plate
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the mold packed to even hardness and high density by passing compressed air through the material packed in the spacing formed by a molding plate with plural vent holes and a molding flask which is opened at top and bottom parts from above and exhausting the same at a deviated timing through said vent holes. CONSTITUTION: Molding sand 46 is packed in the spacing formed by closing an on-off valve 17 and hermetically placing a molding falsk 18 on the top surface of a pattern plate 1. When compressed air is fed into the molding flask 18 from above, it passes through the inside of the sand 46 and first passes through the vent holes 9 of the concave pattern part 3 communicating with the outside air. It is then exhausted through a bent plug, cavity 6 and exhaust hole 12. When the valve 17 is next opened, the compressed air passes through the vent holes 10, 11 at the top surface of the pattern plate 2 on the side close to the feed position then through the vent plug, cavities 7, 8, exhaust holes 13, 14, pipings 15, 16 and valve 17, and is thereby exhausted. In this way, the sand 46 is densely and firmly deposited first on the pattern part 3, then on the 4, 5 surfaces. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
