Wear resistant sintered alloy material for internal combustion engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To improve the wear resistance of the title material by adding C and one or more among P, B and Si other than Fe; providing a specified total hardness after liq. phase sintering; and allowing cementite or its eutectic crystals and vacancies to be contained in the matrix structure. CONSTITUTION: This alloy material contains C 0.5W4.0wt% other than Fe and further contains one or more among P, B and Si 0.1W5.0wt% to enable liq. phase sintering at 1250°C or below at which a sintering furnace is provided with durability. This material has a total hardness of Hv 500W1200 after liq. phase sintering, and 7W45% by area of cementite or eutectic crystals of cementite and P or B is contained in the matrix structure. The amount of sintering vacancies is 0.2W10vol%, and vacancies of 150μ or less in size occupy 40% or more of all of the vacancies. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
