Antistatic composite filament and its preparation
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title composite filaments having improved color, durability, and crimping properties, and an electrical resistance of a specific value or below, with good spinning and drawing properties, and a high yield, by joining the electrically conductive parts in a specific state to form a wedge. CONSTITUTION: The electrically conductive components b, wherein a particulate conductive substance is dispersed in the non-conductive component a, are joined along the filament axis to form a side-by-side wedge. The interior angle θ of the tip of the wedge is 1W45°, preferably 3W30°. The ratio of the filament diameter D to the length of the wedge W is 0.5<W/D<0.8, preferably 0.6≤W/D≤0.75. Preferably, an angle ϕ of two tangents at the hollow on the surface of conductive component b 7 in the triangular or Y-shaped cross-section is 240W320°. The corss- sectional area of the component b is 1W25%, and the electrical resistance of the composite filaments is ≤1×10 9 Ω/cm at d.c. 100V. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
