Speed controller for electric motor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To attain a good characteristic for an electric motor through a simple construction without using a pulse transformer or the like, by connecting a diode in series with the motor and applied voltage control thyristors and using the terminal voltage of the diode as a speed signal to control the speed of the motor. CONSTITUTION: Trapezoidal-wave power 3 synchronized with other power 1 is applied to a speed control circuit 4. The terminal voltage of the diode D3 connected in series with the armature M and field winding F of the motor is applied as the speed signal to the speed control circuit 4, wherein the charged quantity of a capacitor C4 is controlled depending on the difference between the speed signal and a set signal applied by a speed setting variable resistor VR. The turn-on phase angle of the thyristors Q1, Q2 is thus regulated to control the supplied voltage to the motor. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
