Air cleaner

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: An apparatus enabling to clean contaminated room air at a temperature as low as room temperatures. CONSTITUTION: An air cleaner for cleaning dirty air is provided with a heater element 1 having a plurality of passages 1a for passing dirty room air and consisting of ceramic resistance elements with a positive temperature coefficient of resistance and a curie point at a specific temperature. These plural passages 1a carry oxide catalyst 3 for cleaning dirty air and the heater element 1 is connected to electrodes 4 for current passing. The use of the so constructed heater element 1 enables low-temperature air cleaning. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
