Plant growth regulator of cyclohexanedione

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: A plant growth regulator that contains a cyclohexanedione compound as the effective component and increases the yield of broadleaf crops by small amount application with no damage as well as shows high herbicidal effect on gramineous weeds. CONSTITUTION: Said plant growth regulator contains at least one selected from cyclohexanediones of the formula (R 1 is alkyl, phenyl or the like; R 2 is alkyl; R 3 is R 2 , alkenyl; R 4 is H, alkoxycarbonyl; X is alkylene; n is 0W2) and their metal or ammonium salts and is mixed with an appropriate amount of a carrier to give a wettable powder or emulsion, which is employed. Said compounds have been known to have high herbicidal activity against gramineous weeds, further the application to broardleaf crops, especially leguminous plants such as soybean or adzuki bean and vegetables such as cucumba increases the yield. This application is sufficiently effective evne in small amount and there is no trouble of side-effect caused by this chemical. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
