Transformer with enclosed reactor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce the iron loss by reversing the direction of transformer main magnetic fluxes flowing in a reactor-side core leg adjacent to a current-limiting reactor in a three-legged iron core, with respect to the direction of the magnetic fluxes flowing in a reactor-side core leg among the magnetic fluxes leaked from the current-limiting reactor. CONSTITUTION: A transformer winding 1 and a current-limiting reactor 7 are connected so that the direction of transformer main magnetic fluxes 9 flowing in a core leg 22 is reversed with respect to the direction of reactor-generated magnetic fluxes 11 in the current-limiting reactor 7. In this constitution, since the reactor-generated magnetic fluxes 11 are cancelled by the transformer main magnetic fluxes 9 in the reactor-side core leg 22, the transformer main magnetic fluxes 9 are reduced and the iron loss is also reduced.
