Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To enable the accurate position alignment of transfer paper and photosensitive drum in the case of color copying by letting the transfer paper be closely contacted with and held by a movable transfer support means by a corona discharger after transfer. CONSTITUTION: A defining member, e.g., conductive revolving roller 26', which makes the locus of transfer paper P after transfer constant right after the toner is transferred onto the transfer paper P surface from the photosensitive drum 2 by a corona discharger 28 is provided so that, at the time the leading end of the transfer paper P is sandwiched by the roller 26' and movable transfer support 19', the electrostatic charges of the same discharge polarity as that of the discharger 28 are applied on the back of the mesh screen 196 and the back of transfer paper P by a corona discharger 27', whereby the transfer paper P is contacted to the surface of the roller 26'. After this, the transfer paper P is attracted and held to the surface of the support 19'. Thereby, the position deviation may be prevented in the case of color copying. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
