Oil leakage preventing device for automobile transmission gear

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: In a transmission gear having a buffle plate and an oil seal between the extension casing and the sleeve yoke, to facilitate the fitting work by forming a buffle plate and an oil seal in a single unit. CONSTITUTION: The front end of a sleeve yoke 36 and the rear end of the main shaft 5 are coupled by splines at the rear end of the extension casing of the speed change gear. The buffle plate 42 is provided with a thin-wall cylindrical part 42a and a thick-wall cylindrical part 42b. An oil seal element 41 is fixed in the thin- wall cylindrical part 42a, thus the buffle plate and the oil seal are unified in a single assembly. The assembly is fixed to the inner surface of the part 47 of a dust cover 46 which is force-fitted in the rear end of the extension casing 3. The fitting work of the buffle plate 42 and the oil seal 41 will be further facilitated by assembling the buffle plate 42, the oil seal 41 and the dust cover prior to force-fitting the dust cover in the rear end of the extension casing 3.
