Hardening of photosensitive resin layer
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To harden a liquid photosensitive resin to be hardened by irradiation of ultraviolet rays of a less than 4,500Å wave length region with excellent workability and high power efficiency by irradiating it by a flash discharge lamp of a specific energy dispersal density. CONSTITUTION: A printing ink, paint, etc., using a liquid photosensitive resin having the main photosensitive characteristics in a less than 4,500Å wavelength region, is hardened by irradiation of an ulatrviolet rays by using as an ultraviolet rays source a flash discharge lamp as a cold light source capable of giving a design total light amount instantaneously, whose glass tube is filled with a rare gas, e.g., Xe, etc., and whose flash energy dispersal density Q (in Joule/cm 2 msec) is controlled to 0.1≤Q≤450. The conventional mercury discharge lamp is not used. Thus, the liquid resin is hardened intantaneously to form good hardened layer without leaving unhardened portion and also causes no foaming phenomenon. The hardening is fast, workability is excellent, and power efficiency is also excellent. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
