Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve sensitivity to an earthquake while preventing malfunction due to disturbance by providing an electric filter, which suppresses the high-frequency range of output, coupling direct with an earthquake sensor which generates its output through the operation of a dynamic coil. CONSTITUTION: An earthquake sensor, composed of a converter making use of the development of a voltage across it through the motion of dynamic coil 1, is provided with electric filter 4 which suppresses the output of the high frequency range of the earthquake sensor such as a low-pass filter and band-pass filter. As a result, malfunction due to disturbance of vibrations of relatively-high frequency range FH is prevented and it is also made possible to detect initial fine vibration of an earthquake with high sensitivity so as to exercise earthquake control over an elevator in its early stage, thereby preventing secondary disaster from occurring.
