Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To simplify constitution, and to produce a typewriter cheaply, by a method wherein character mark elements corresponding to key buttons are displayed on a panel placed on a key board without indicating the elements on the surfaces of the key buttons. CONSTITUTION: A key panel 17 is placed on a key board 2 and, holes 18 for projecting buttons 6 are bored at locations corresponding to each key button 6 while display 19 for indicating characters and mark elements corresponding to each key button 6 is performed to the surfaces. The key buttons that two display 19 is carried out to one key button 6 are mutually formed in colors different from others in the display modes, and the same color as one side between these display is tinted to a key button 6a for selection for selecting these display. Key panels can mutually be exchanged easily by forming a type wheel of a printing mechanism in a mounting-and-demounting-possible shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
