Apparatus for preventing gear noise at reverse shift for car transmission

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent gear noise at reverse shift by braking a counter shaft when the transmission is shifted at reverse position. CONSTITUTION:A connecting sleeve 22 is brought into spline connection with the circumference of a 21 which solidly rotates with a counter shaft 4. A synchronous ring 23 having a chamfered gear 23b mating with an inner spline of the sleeve 22 and a conical surface 23a frictionally engaging with a conical surface 11a prvided an a gear 11 is arranged. In addition, a synchronous ring 25 with a conical surface 25a frictionally engaging with a conical surface 24a of a member fixed to a transmission case 1 and a chamfered gear 25b which is to mate with the inner spline is arranged. The gear 11 is provided with a gear 11b which is to mate with the inner spline. With such an arrangement, the counter shaft 4 can be braked by shifting the sleeve 22 right.
