Internal combustion engine having storage chamber with reciprocally fluidizing path
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To improve heat efficiency of internal combustion engines with a higher combustion speed through a high speed fluidization of sucked air stored in a reciprocally fluidizing path formed in a storage chamber when it flows into and out of the storage chamber. CONSTITUTION: A high pressure mixed gas is stored into a storage chamber 27 comprising a reciprocally fluidizing path 25 and a gas storage chamber 26 at the end of compression stroke in the cycle. Since the sectional area in the section of a reciprocally fluidizing path 25 is reduced to a level less than that of a gas storage chamber 26, when an opening/closing valve 21a is opened, a high pressure mixed air in a storage chamber 27 is fluidized heavily in the section in injection from the chamber 27. Such a fluidization promotes the mixing, atomization and vaporization of the mixed gas. Accordingly, the injection into a combustion chamber 5 through an injection port improves the ignitability of the mixed gas, increasing the combustion rate. Thus, the heat efficiency of the internal combustion engine can be elevated. COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
