Cable compensation system of television image pickup unit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve stability with influence of external noise eliminated, by digitally compensating time delay caused by a camera cable. CONSTITUTION: In addition to horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals, synchronizing-signal generating part 4 generates clock CL for counting the delay time of a signal owing to cable between camera control part 1 and camera head 2. Singal P 3 equivalent to the delay time by cable allows gate circudit 7 to gate clock CL and counter 8 to count it. The number of clocks having passed through gate circuit 7 is subtracted from the value set initially to counter 8 and the remainder is stored in latch circuit 9. In counter 10, subtraction from the latched value is done sequentially and when it becofmes zero, pulse P 6 is outputted. This output leads the reference signal in terms of phase and is supplied to camera head 2 by way of leading-phase pulse generating part 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
