X-ray tube
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To secure a large amount of capacity for the X-ray tube as well as to ensure the minute control for the X-ray focal position by providing the electronic radiation cathode in such a way that a number of X-ray focal points may be arrayed along the shaft and on the outer circumference surface of the hand-drum shaped rotary anode provided within a vacuum container. CONSTITUTION:Anode stator 12 and 13 are sealed across cylindrical vacuum container 11, and rotor 16 and shaft 17 are supported to the stators via bearing 14 and 15. Rotary anode 18 of a cylindrical and hand-drum shape is fixed to shaft 17. Then a number of electronic radiation cathodes 21 are arrayed along the axial direction of the anode and opposing to anode 18. The X-ray focal point groups are formed by projecting each electron beam e generated from cathodes 21 onto the target and then arranged linearly when viewed from the X direction of the X-ray irradiation. Each cathode is independent to control the radiation of the electron. Thus, the X-ray tube can feature a large amount of capacity, and furthermore the minute control is possible for the X-ray focal position.
