Automatic transmission apparatus
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce the fuel consumption of a torque converter automatic transmission apparatus by arranging a control circuit which detects the moment when the difference of speeds of the power shaft and the driven shaft of a torque converter becomes zero or close to zero and operates a direct gear clutch. CONSTITUTION: When the difference Δn of speeds of the power shaft and the drived shaft of a torque converter 5 and the speed difference limit standard Δno form the relation Δn≤Δno, a solenoid S is operated by the output signal r of a comparator R, and the spool of a spool valve A moves leftward, and the actuating oil 2 to a rear clutch 2 is introduced into the direct gear cutch 6 of the torque converter 5 through a spool valve B. The actuating oil 2 moves the spool of a spool valve c leftward, and the oil exhaust passage from the torque converter 5 is closed, intercepting the circulation flow of the actuating oil in the torque converter 5, and the energy loss due to recirculation flow is prevented.
