Linear tape counter
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To make possible rapid displaying of running quantity of tape, ratios of running quantity and total tape quantity, etc. at an arbitrary time during PLAY by operating the ratios of the clock pulse numbers counted during 1 period of feed- and take-up reel turntables. CONSTITUTION: The detection signals per one revolution of take-op- and feed reel turntables 1a, 1b are pulse-converted to switching circuits 4a, 4b. As counters 5a, 5b receive a reset signal, they count the clock pulses from a basic frequency signal circuit 6 during 1 revolution of the reel turntables. The outputs thereof are inputted to an arithmetic circuit 7, where the ratios of the feed rate from the feed side reel of tape and total tape quantity are calculated. The values are converted to the feed running time of the tape by way of the arithmetic circuit 9. The initial constant is beforehand stored in the memory of the arithmetic circuit 7. The results of the operation are inputted to a drive latch circuit 11 upon finishing of the operation and are displayed ina displaying liquid crystal panel 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
