Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce the effect of transfer signal component given to the output signal, by transferring the odd number and even number of charge transferred to the output section to separate diffusion region, and picking up the charge transferred parallely as the output signal. CONSTITUTION: In the charge transfer element constituted with a plurality of video elements and of transfer electrodes, the charge at the odd number transferred with the transfer signals ϕ 1 to ϕ 4 fed to the charge transfer electrode 11 is shifted to the diffusion electrode 13 via the output gate at the L level of the transfer signal ϕ 4 of the transfer electrode 21 at the final stage. Further, the gate 14 is opened, and charge is transferred to the diffusion region 15, and output signal is picked up from the load resistor 24 of MOSFET 22. Further, after transferring the charge at even number to the diffusion region 13, the reset gate 17 connected to the reset gate 16 is opened, and charge is transferred to another diffusion region 18, and the charge at even number is picked up as the output signal from the source follower load resistor 24 of MOSFET 23 connected to the diffusion region 18. Further, the charge caused on each video element can sequentially be transferred. COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
