Miticide

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To provide a miticide having especially high ovicidal activity against plant parasitic mites, containing a benzopyrazole derivative as an effective component. CONSTITUTION: A miticide containing, as an effective component, a pyrazole derivative of the formula (X 1 , 2 are lower alkyl, phenyl; Y is halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, nitro, cyano; Z is H, lower alkyl, acetyl-substituted lower alkyl, cyano-substituted lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl; n is an integer of 1-3), e.g. 1,3-dimethyl-4- (2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)-5-propargyloxypyrazole, its salt or its organic acid ester. It is applied at an effective concentration of 10-10000 ppm, pref. 20-5000 ppm, more pref. 50- 1000 ppm. A compound similar to the compound of the formula is known as a herbicide.
