Silicone resin composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the title composition of high heat resistance and mechanical strength, by incorporating a relatively high molecular weight ladder methyl polysiloxane resin with an inorganic filler and a curing catalyst. CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be prepared by incorporating (1) 100 parts by wt. of a ladder methyl polysiloxane of formula, having an average molecular weight of 9,000-100,000 with (2) 30-60 parts by wt. of an inorganic filler and/or a heat resistant pigment (pref. aluminum paste), and (3) 0.3-2wt.% of a curing catalyst (e.g. ethanolamine, etc.), concurrent with keading by a hot-roll, etc., followed by cooling, then grinding the resultant compound. The coating liquid obtained by dissolving the composition prepared above in a solvent such as tetrahydrofuran, etc. is coated on an article to be coated, then heated at 140-160°C for 20- 30min., thus obtaining a cured film of high adherence, heat resistance, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
